Jay Harris is a veteran property management attorney who provides wholistic legal and business counsel to rental housing and solutions providers. As general counsel to leading apartment industry vendors, he has led litigation, compliance, contracting, product, and sales/marketing functions. As regulatory counsel to the apartment and consumer reporting industries, he has advocated for favorable regulatory and legislative policy and translated complex rules for industry compliance. A Washington D.C. area native, he serves on the board of the Arlington (Va.) Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH).

He has also been a freelance consultant who has worked with multifamily companies to enhance, improve and train their organizations to improve performance. 

Steve began his career in multi-family as a leasing consultant, assistant manager and community manager as well as several training and support roles. He holds a Leadership Certificate from the Center for Creative Leadership, is a Developmental Dimensions International (DDI) Certified Facilitator and an MBTI Type I & II Certified Practitioner.

Known for his ability to motivate and inspire teams, Marcus has served as an MC/Host and has spoken on several panels for cyber security, technology, and operations, as well as session speaker on creating a culture of data-driven decision makers.  In addition, Marcus served as a committee member on the Technology Committee for the NHMC in 2020 and 2021.

One example of such innovation is ResidentIQ, IIQ’s advanced leased solution launched in early 2021. Michael is a veteran sales leader and brought to Inhabit IQ over 20 years of multifamily experience in online leasing and background screening. His management efforts have helped apartment owners and managers effectively increase efficiencies, drive revenue and reduce operating costs while meeting or exceeding KPI’s within the organizations. He holds a BS in Business Administration from Western Kentucky University. Outside of work, Michael maintains an active lifestyle with his wife in Southern California and welcomed their first child in September of 2021.
